ADHD evaluations for ages 6-18
Autism Evaluations for ages 3 - 18
Embarking on a journey to understand ADHD and Autism begins with embracing neurodiversity and honoring individual experiences. Our neuroaffirming assessments for ADHD and Autism are designed to offer a compassionate, evidence-based evaluation, empowering individuals to recognize their strengths while addressing challenges. Our goal is to create a supportive environment that demystifies the diagnostic process, helping you navigate with clarity and confidence.
Our assessments go beyond diagnosis to provide a deeper understanding of your child, offering benefits such as:
-
Access to tailored support: A formal diagnosis can unlock accommodations in educational, work, and other settings, ensuring your child receives the necessary resources to thrive.
-
Enhanced advocacy for accommodations and understanding for your child.
-
Insight into how ADHD and/or Autism influences communication and behavior, fostering stronger personal relationships.
-
Connections to community resources and support networks.

My Approach:
I believe every child is uniquely wired, and my neurodiverse-affirming approach to assessing ADHD and Autism reflects this belief. Instead of pathologizing ADHD and/or Autism, I view them as natural variations in human neurodiversity. My process emphasizes respect, compassion, and collaboration, ensuring each child feels acknowledged and appreciated for who they are. By focusing on strengths while addressing challenges, I provide a comprehensive, supportive assessment that equips families with insights and strategies tailored to their child’s individual needs. This approach cultivates resilience, self-acceptance, and a positive identity, laying the groundwork for thriving in all aspects of life.

What to Expect

My ADHD and autism assessment process is designed to be thorough, supportive, and transparent. It begins with an initial inquiry, where we gather basic information about your child and their needs. Next, we schedule a free consultation call to discuss your concerns, review the assessment process, and answer any questions you may have. The diagnostic evaluation is a comprehensive, child-centered process that may include interviews, questionnaires, and observations to gain a deep understanding of your child’s experiences and behaviors. After completing the evaluation, we hold a feedback session to share the findings, answer your questions, and provide actionable recommendations. Finally, you will receive a written report summarizing the assessment results, including strengths, challenges, and personalized strategies to support your child at home, in school, and beyond. Throughout this process, we strive to make every step affirming, empowering, and aligned with your family’s unique needs.

I know how financially inaccessible diagnostic assessment can be, and I do my best to minimize operations costs in order to keep rates as low as possible. Because transparency is important for accountability, here is the breakdown of the cost for diagnostic assessment:

-
2-3 hours of diagnostic interview session(s) with client and collateral interviews (3-4 hours for combined evaluation)
-
2-3 hours of evaluator time in analyzing and organizing information gathered
-
2-3 hours of evaluator time writing diagnostic report and recommendations (3-4 hours for combined evaluation)
-
45 - 60 minute session discussing results with client and caregivers

The total time spent on an evaluation by evaluators is approximately 10-12 hours depending on if it's a combined assessment tor not.

Fees and Rates

Because of my licensure type (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), insurance does not reimburse for all assessment procedure codes. Depending on your insurance, I may be able to bill our initial assessment and follow up discussion sessions through your insurance. (If you choose to use insurance, the assessment process may take longer as we will be splitting the assessment process into more sessions.) All other subsequent meetings, including testing and written reports will be an out of pocket fee.

Evaluation Limitations
It’s important to know that some education, medical, and support programs still require diagnoses from specific healthcare providers. While I have specialized training and experience in providing evaluations for ADHD and Autism, certain formal requirements may necessitate a diagnosis from a developmental pediatrician or psychologist.

The diagnostic evaluations I provide differ from psychological, educational, or neuropsychological assessments. They do not include evaluations for learning differences, intelligence measures, or other specialized assessments typically conducted at the doctoral level. If you’ve been advised to pursue a comprehensive evaluation to assess areas such as learning differences, processing speeds, or intellectual abilities, I’m happy to refer you to trusted providers who specialize in these areas.

The absence of these components does not diminish the validity or value of your evaluation with me. Instead, it reflects the realities of a healthcare system that often frames neurodiversity through a lens of medicalization and pathology. My goal is to provide a clear and empowering understanding of your options so you can make informed decisions that best suit your needs.
