Kids Can Cope Owner, Jessica Baird has been a Certified Child Life Specialist for 10 years, working in a variety of settings with children and their families. She began her career as an intern at Sacred Heart Children's Hospital in Spokane, WA where she rotated through several units including pediatric surgery, hem/onc, PICU, intermediate floors, and the ED. After completing her internship, she worked at a local hospital with one pediatric inpatient unit where she covered all areas of the hospital including adult units. She worked there for a year before moving to Concord, NC where she worked at Jeff Gordon Children's Hospital as their outpatient specialist. 

Jessica has educational and clinical experience in grief and loss, trauma, stress and coping, and child development. When not working, she is spending her time playing with her 3 year old son or reading a good book!
